The Room Downstairs
The Room Downstairs is a San Diego based Reggae/Rock/Experimental band that was formed in May, 2011. Shortly after, the band began composing, arranging, and producing their own signature style of music, whose influences include Reggae, Jazz, Blues, and Rock.
One year later, the band released their first EP "Noise All Night". The Room Downstairs continues to play at parties, bars, and any other event where people are open to good music and vibes.
The Room Downstairs is no ordinary college band, while attempting to get their degrees and diplomas, the five members spend most of their day focusing on the betterment of their music. Max Eckstein (Drums & Percussion) as well as Patrick Thomas (Keys & Effects) are both music performance majors at San Diego State University. Robbie Beathard and Reed Leonard have both been studying privately on their instruments their entire lives, and are both accounting majors. The sound engineer and bassist of the band, Jeff Mirich, continues to keep the music vibing with his solid bass playing.
